| Can 5 elements and 9 stars represent all the Dragons?
When you get into the Feng Shui field, you will learn about dragon, because we use it to represent the mountain and describe its movement, therefore mountain is alive and not dead.
Our previous master classified all the mountains into the 5 or 9 categories which make us easier to follow. When you open any Feng Shui book, you will see this 5 elements or 9 stars mountain drawings as the above diagram. Besides the drawing, they also wrote a whole paragraph to explain how it looks like in real life.
For the lineage students, it is very good because their masters will lead them to study the real dragons, and then the students can continue to read the books description, which will make them easier to understand and digest the meaning of dragon.
But for those who are only learnt from the books without any on field training by a real master, they only can imagine by their own logical thinking. Whether it is right or wrong, no one knows or approves. If you are willing to trust their knowledge and material, then you are in your own risk. It is same as you try to cook the sands to make it as the rice.
These kinds of fake masters are all around the world and not only in our generation. Let’s take a look on how did the previous real masters disclosed those fake masters behaviour.
Ip Kow Sing, one of the famous masters in Ching dynasty, who said, “When you meet a Feng Shui master who are only talking about the most popular Feng Shui knowledge in the classroom without any practice in the mountain. Once he gets into the site, he uses the compass right the way without fully observation of the environment, he is a fake master.”
You can see that on field training is always important for learning Feng Shui, one day when you get into the mountains and see the mountains as the photos below, then you will find what you have learnt from your master cannot be applied in the real life. Even though your master cannot clear to describe what kind of elements for these mountains belong to……..
