Joseph Yu's Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
On Nov 20, 2012 Joseph Yu suddenly changed his Facebook profile photo. This photo only shows a shadow of 2 people.
Most people may think this is a normal act, but in fact, it is very abnormal. Let's review his conduct as an unbiased person, and you should be able to see the reasons for his change:
1. After months of discussion, Joseph Yu knew he is unable to support his own claim, but we cannot blame him for this as his foundation in I-Ching is weak. In fact, when he realized he can no longer support his own claim, he decided to switch his own profile picture to a shadow.
2. He is unable to face the public and secretly admitted to his own mistakes (the ones that I have pointed out).
3. Since the picture only shows a shadow on the wall, when being confronted in the public, Joseph Yu will claim that I created a fake Facebook account of him and post those contradictory articles on his behalf.
4. When some potential students read my articles and find out Joseph Yu’s mistakes, they may ask him or his organizers about those mistakes. When being confronted, he and his organizers will say that Joseph Yu is not the Joseph Yu who founded Feng Shui Research Center because that is not a picture of me (or Joseph Yu).
Many of his students may argue that I am thinking too much into it and I should not control Joseph Yu's private business. They may even said my words about his picture are unethical and untrue because it is very common for people to change their profile picture, especially to this kind of "artistic" photo; but if you have read Joseph Yu’s comments about Ceng Can Killing a person曾参殺人on “Reversing Black and White 颠倒黑白”, you can clearly see his intention. Perhaps, his article already indicated what strategy will he use should he fail to defend his claims.
Joseph Yu: Howard, I have been patiently ignoring his attack for a long time before I wrote to clarify without mentioning his name. Everything is recorded in timeline, thanks to Facebook. The story of Ceng Can Killing a person 曾参殺人 tells me I have to stand up to make clarifications. Ceng Can was one of the famous disciples of Confucius who was renowned for his virtue. One day, someone knocked at the door to tell his mother that Ceng Can killed a person. His mother ignored it knowing very well his some would not have done such a thing. Then another neighbour knocked at the door and yelled, "Ceng Can killed a person!" Ceng Can's mother smiled and was not moved. After a while, another neighbour came to tell Ceng Can's mother that Ceng Can has killed a person. His mother was a bit confused and went out to find out what was going on. On the way, he met his son. She was relieved to hear him say, "A man who has the same name as I just killed another man."
This story is clearly told us that he will use "A man who has the same name as I just killed another man." as his excuse.
While Joseph Yu's conduct is questionable, he had applied a strategy that can safe him in the future.
