金融海嘯成「富人大災難」

金融海嘯和近年爆發的幾次股災不同，可以稱為「富人大災難」，很多腰纏萬貫的富豪成為最大輸家。繼德國 億萬富豪默克勒（Adolf Merckle）走進路軌撞向一列行駛中的火車當場慘死後，全美最大物業拍賣行之一的主席古德（Steven Good）亦吞槍自盡身亡，情景令人想起資本主義大災難的一九二九年大蕭條。

　　過去數十年，全球股市經歷過不少大跌市，但鮮有超級富豪集體覆沒的情況，理由是富豪政經人脈縱橫，猶如大樹根深柢固，抗擊風暴的能力，遠比一般花木堅強；但這次海嘯震央，由資本主義最核心的金融系統發出，本來近水樓台，與財金巨擘有千絲萬縷關係的巨富，反而受害最深。

　　自金融海嘯爆發以來，先是金融業高層備受壓力，銀行要員輕生消息頻傳。在過去兩個月，開始傳出有老牌基金家族掌舵人，因為誤墮麥多夫的投資種金術，無顏面對客戶而結束生命；今個星期再接連傳出默克勒和古德自殺的消息，令人憶起有上世紀大蕭條的重臨。

　　「夾倉」輸死《福布斯》巨富

　　一九二九年華爾街同樣爆發金融危機，股市接連發生黑色星期四、黑色星期一和黑色星期二。在黑色星期四發生當日，大批金融巨頭傾家蕩產，即日竟然有十一名金融家自殺！其後，美國 股市跌足九成，曾經試過有二十四位企業老闆，在同一天結束自己的生命。在整個大蕭條期間，選擇跳樓新聞屢見不鮮，輕生者有數千人。

　　據報道，默克勒坐擁的企業王國規模龐大，業務包括有製藥、工程及水泥等，僱員人數達十萬人。根據財經雜誌《福布斯》排名，上年度全球富豪排行榜上仍名列第九十四，身家估計超過七百億港元。德國傳媒相信全球金融危機把默克勒「打垮」，指出他在自尋短見之前數小時，才以企業主權換取了維持旗下工廠運作的貸款。

　　最令這位超級富豪之死顯得傳奇的是，去年十一月，本來做生意失利的他，試圖趁對沖基金 狙擊的機會，坐「順風車」大舉沽空德國福士汽車股票牟利，結果卻被福士大股東保時捷 集團「夾倉」而輸大錢。在沽空失利後一個月，他的企業王國就瀕臨瓦解邊緣，原因是蘇格蘭 皇家銀行與德意志銀行牽頭，由三十家債權人銀行組成的銀團，對是否向他提供過渡性貸款時表現得猶豫不決，在面臨喪失王國控制權之後，他終失去繼續拼搏下去的勇氣。

　　政府救災減平民受累

　　當地的傳媒形容，默克勒一向作風低調穩健，為何他忽然會鋌而走險大舉作出金融投機呢？一個可能是他的本業備受經濟收縮影響，激起他放手一博的衝動，何況人在商場，他明知福士汽車生意「前途似咁」，加上有大鱷狙擊，於是決定押下重注，想不到天意弄人，竟然因為保時捷集團反攻對沖基金瘋狂「夾倉」而陪葬。換了在平時，像《福布斯》百大富豪這樣級數的財閥，憑着金融網絡支持，幾乎是打不死之身，無奈是他尋求貸款之時，正是往來銀行自身難保之際，走上末路確屬時也命也。

　　從超級富豪也難逃葬身命運，足見今次金融海嘯殺傷力不下於大蕭條，後遺症不容低估，不同的是，這次各國政府全面搶救，相信可以減低普羅大眾所受的衝擊，至於資本家能否捱到隧道盡頭，則要靠他們的身手和運氣了。
